Not all Easter baskets are created equal. These Easter basket ideas are filled with hidden goodies like handmade beauty products, champagne and other surprises.

DIY Easter Basket Ideas for Beauty Girls

Whatever happened to Easter baskets? It seems that as soon as we reached a certain age (for me, it was 11) Easter baskets slowly started to fade from the forefront of our Easter celebrations and slip silently into the dark hallways of our childhood memories. Often it’s by no decision of our own. I loved receiving a purple woven basket covered in saran wrap and stuffed with chocolate bunnies, Reese’s eggs, crossword puzzles, coloring books, and stickers every Easter and I sure wouldn’t have a problem getting them again.

This year, revive the old basket gifting tradition by DIYing your own beauty-centric Easter basket complete with natural beauty products, champagne, cosmetics, and other goodies your beauty addicted friends will love.

Keep on reading for the ultimate Easter basket your gal pals will love.

Let’s start with the basket…

This is the exterior of your home, girl, so you want to pick the cutest basket around! Here are some of our favorite options:

Get creative when it comes to choosing your basket. You don’t have to stick to the traditional woven basket; feel free to use anything that could potentially double as a container from a flower pot to a makeup organizer.

Onto the stuffing…

The stuffing can be anything from tissue paper to shredded filler wood so long as it matches your basket.

That was easy; let’s get on to the homemade beauty products.

When curating your Easter basket, make sure there’s a variety of beauty products your gal pals can use on both their face and body. My go-tos are homemade scrub, moisturizer, makeup removers, botanical serum, and lip balm. Here are some of our favorite DIY beauty recipes:

DIY Sugar Scrub

I love the idea of making and reusing makeup remover wipes. These wipes are suitable for all skin types, so there’s no need to fear the dreaded sensitivity test!

Purifying Botanical Clay Mask

What happens when you put your favorite dried herbs and florals with some clay powder? A magically purifying and nourishing mask is made! This mask is a treat for the skin and looks cute when packaged in a mason jar!

Whipped Coconut & Green Tea Moisturizer

Skin is our largest organ which means it needs just as much TLC, if not more, than other organs (although not the vital ones; they’re called vital for a reason). This antioxidant-rich moisturizer packs a punch in the form of soothing and mattifying green tea and hydrating coconut oil.

On to the makeup…

You don’t have to be rolling in cashmoney to slip a couple of fun balms, highlighters, nail polishes, and other beauty products into your Easter baskets. We love gifting these fun little products like Baby Lips, Essie nail polishes, eyeshadow quads, and more. Keep scrolling for products our gal pals love.

Maybelline Baby Lips

St. Lucia Lilac

We are so in love with this color (which moonlights as spring’s unofficial color of the season). It’s a beautiful lilac color with gray undertones. Gorgeous!

Rollerball Fragrances

Much as is the case with St. Lucia, we can’t get enough of D&G’s Pour Femme perfume. It smells like marshmallow cream and cupcakes mixed into one delicious scent that comes in a velvet box!

Mieoko Makeup Brush

With over 20,000 bristles, the Mieoko brush is one of the softest and most reliable makeup brushes around. It doesn’t absorb any product and instead makes for easy, flawless foundation application. Can we get a hell yeah?

Sheet Masks Galore!

No basket is complete without a sheet mask. image via Style Lullaby

More specifically, the Boscia Charcoal Hydrogel sheet mask. While you can get any sheet mask, this one is one of our favorites ever. It comes in a 2-piece set that minimizes your pores (you can tell after the first application) and leaves your skin soft and supple. It has completely transformed my skin, so transform your friends’ and get them this mask!

Fun Add-Ons

In my opinion, the best add-ons are chocolate and wine. To take your basket to the next level, swap the wine with champagne and your girlfriends will love you forever.

It’s as simple as that, ladies! A handcrafted Easter basket your girlfriends will love and enjoy for a long time to come. While you’re busy prepping all of your gal pals their baskets, don’t forget to prep your own. After all, you earned your own at-home spa day!
